Darren’s Time

There is our baby brother

Peacefully at rest

Loved more than he realized

To his friends, he was "the best"

Last week hopes were up, fears were great

God put us to the test

Family held strong through it all

Though hearts were in distress

So much life ahead of him

For time, he was not pressed

Or so we thought, but God knew all.

Darren was just our guest

Life is an enigma

The world has somewhat lost its zest

We'll move on to work through this

And continue our own quest

Darren's gone; it was his time

We're sad he left our nest

We know we couldn't have asked for more

For the time he gave us, we were blessed.
